For the problems that don't fit neatly into one box.
I work with organisations at the point where something has changed and the usual way of handling it doesn't quite apply — making sense of what has shifted, working out what needs to change next, and helping build the strategy, structures and systems to get there.
My background spans strategy consulting, philanthropy, entrepreneurship and law. I've worked across nonprofits, foundations, philanthropists, development organisations and businesses — often in roles where the answer wasn't obvious and the work had to be figured out along the way.

01
Pacta
Rethinking how strategy, practices, people and economics fit together
Pacta was entering its next stage of growth. The individual pieces worked; how they connected to each other had stopped being obvious.
Worked across- Reframing mission, vision and values
- Reshaping the practice architecture — what to combine, separate and develop
- Identifying growth opportunities within practices
- Developing organisational OKRs
- Analysing pricing and revenue drivers
- Speaking with team members to understand what was and wasn't working
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen visibility and demand generation
How does an organisation evolve its strategy and structure without losing what made it work in the first place?

How do you turn accumulated experience into systems, so the business can grow without everything depending on a few people?

The bigger questionWhat actually holds up when an idea meets real people, real money and real operations?
The thread
I rarely come into a problem that belongs neatly to one function.
Strategy affects structure. Structure affects people. People affect execution. And growth changes all of it.
So I tend to work across the problem — understanding what is happening, finding the underlying issue, creating the structure needed to address it, and staying close enough to help build it.
- UnderstandGet close to the problem, the people and the context.
- Find the real problemSeparate the symptoms from what's actually getting in the way.
- Make it workableTurn the thinking into choices, structures and priorities.
- Build with youStay involved long enough for the idea to become something the organisation can actually use.
I don't come in to diagnose a problem and hand over a deck.
I work alongside the people responsible for making the change — as a sounding board, problem-solver and extra pair of hands when needed.
Where I can help
Direction
Getting clear on what the organisation is trying to become — and what needs to change to get there.
This can mean strategy, priorities, positioning, organisational direction or figuring out what to say no to.
How it works
Designing the structures, roles, processes and systems that allow the organisation to operate differently.
This can mean organisational design, practice architecture, operating systems, SOPs, incentives or ways of working.
What comes next
Finding the opportunities for growth — new practices, products, revenue streams, partnerships or ways of reaching people.
Sometimes that means strengthening what already exists. Sometimes it means building something new from scratch.
A non-linear path.
I've moved between consulting, philanthropy, entrepreneurship and law — following problems rather than a track. It means I've seen how very different kinds of organisations actually work from the inside, which is most of what makes the cross-functional work possible.

Have something you're trying to figure out?
A strategic decision. A growing organisation that needs to change. A new idea you don't yet know how to build.
If it's complicated, ambiguous or sitting somewhere between functions, that's usually where I can be useful.
